The Flood Warning continues for
  the French Broad River At Blantyre.
* From late tonight to early Friday morning.
* At 11:30 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 13.9 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just 
  after midnight tonight to a crest between 18.5 and 19.0 feet 
  tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage during 
  Friday.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, widespread farmland flooding between the 
  river and the railroad tracks is ongoing.  The river is 
  approaching the railroad tracks near Fodderstack Mountain and 
  River Ridge Roads. The intersection of River and Big Willow Roads 
  is innundated.

cars through flooded areas.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the French Broad River At Blantyre.
* Until Friday morning.
* At 6:00 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 15.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this 
  evening to a crest of 22.0 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will 
  then fall below flood stage Thursday evening.
* Impact...At 17.0 feet, Floodwaters continue to inundate farmland 
  between the River and the railroad tracks. Floodwaters may start 
  to inundate the shoulders of River Road near the Big Willow Road 
  intersection. Floodwaters continue to impact boat access areas at 
  Grove Bridge and Crab Creek Roads.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, Widespread farmland flooding between the 
  French Broad River and the railroad tracks is ongoing.  The river 
  may be overtopping the railroad tracks near Fodderstack Mountain 
  Rd. and River Ridge Rd.  The intersection of River Rd. and Big 
  Willow Rd. is inundated.
* Impact...At 19.0 feet, The river may be overtopping the railroad 
  tracks and floodwaters may be threatening a trailer park on River 
  Ridge Rd. Floodwaters may be approaching buildings north of Grove 
  Bridge Road along US 64. Parts of River Road, Pleasant Grove Rd., 
  Butler Bridge Rd. and Big Willow Rd. are likely flooding. 
  Associated tributaries, including Little River, are likely 
  flooding due to high water levels on the French Broad River.

  Moderate Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending 
  at 11:45 AM EDT Wednesday was 20.2 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.5 feet 
  this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday 
  morning.
* Impact...At 23.0 feet, Major Flood Stage. Significant flooding of 
  secondary roads is likely ongoing.  Floodwaters may be inundating 
  portions of US 64.  Homes and commercial buildings within the 
  vicinity of US 64 and adjacent secondary roads may be threatened 
  by approaching or rising floodwaters.  Floodwaters will reach 
  levels similar to 1994 with Tropical Storm Beryl.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 22.6 
  feet on 01/08/1998.
