  Guadalupe River Near Cuero affecting DeWitt County.

For the Guadalupe River...including Hunt, Kerrville, Comfort, Spring 
Branch, Sattler, NB Abv Comal, New Braunfels, NB Below Comal, Hwy 
123 BR at Seguin, Luling, Luling, Gonzales, Westhoff, Cuero...
Moderate flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Guadalupe River Near Cuero.
* Until Tuesday evening.
* At 6:30 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 34.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending 
  at 6:30 PM CDT Sunday was 35.3 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Tuesday 
  morning and continue falling to 7.9 feet Friday evening.
* Impact...At 33.0 feet, Moderate flooding threatens homes in south 
  portion of River Haven Subdivision below Cuero. Residents should 
  consider evacuation. Any livestock remaining anywhere in the 
  floodplain should be moved to higher ground immediately.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 35.0 
  feet on 02/06/1992.

* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending 
  at 6:30 PM CDT Monday was 33.7 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early 
  tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 8.5 feet Saturday 
  evening.
* Impact...At 31.0 feet, Water crosses State Hwy 72 on west side of 
  the Guadalupe River west of Cuero. Roadway likely closed.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 31.7 
  feet on 02/27/1992.

  at 8:30 AM CDT Tuesday was 31.1 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 7.3 feet Sunday 
  morning.
* Impact...At 24.0 feet, Minor low lying flooding extends into the 
  floodplain above and below Cuero. Steen Road (between FM  766 and 
  US Hwy 183 near Hochheim) monitored for flooding.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 24.3 
  feet on 04/12/1997.
