a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texas...

  Guadalupe River At NB Abv Comal affecting Guadalupe and Comal 
  Counties.

...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and 
increased in duration for the following rivers in Texas...

  Guadalupe River At NB Below Comal affecting Guadalupe and Comal 
  Counties.

For the Guadalupe River...NB Abv Comal, New Braunfels, NB Below 
Comal...Moderate flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  the Guadalupe River At NB Abv Comal.
* From early this morning to this evening.
* At 2:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 9.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending 
  at 2:45 AM CDT Thursday was 9.4 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to 12.0 feet over the next hour or 
  so. It will then fall below flood stage this morning to 5.7 feet 
  and begin rising again this morning. It will rise to 6.3 feet late 
  this morning which is below flood stage. It will then fall again 
  and remain below flood stage.
* Impact...At 12.5 feet, Several sections of River Road flood. 
  Autos, gear and sleeping campers can wash downstream from low 
  banks adjacent to the river. Flow is well into the flood plain 
  through New Braunfels.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.8 
  feet on 05/05/1993.

* Until late this evening.
* At 2:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage this morning to 
  14.3 feet. It will then fall below flood stage late morning.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding closes several 
  roads, streets and businesses in New Braunfels. Upstream River 
  Road is extremely dangerous.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.3 
  feet on 06/01/2016.
