- Hurricane and Tornadoes in Louisiana, August 28 to 31, 2021The ninth named storm, fourth hurricane, and second major hurricane of the 2021 Atlantic hurricane season, Ida originated from a tropical wave in the Caribbean Sea on August 23rd.

- Hurricane and Tropical Storm in Louisiana, August 26 to 27, 2020A tropical wave emerged off of Africa during August 16 and then developed into a depression by the 20th. The system gradually became better organized as it passed across the Greater Antilles. It entered the Gulf of Mexico and became a hurricane on the 25th.

- Tornado and Flash Flooding in Louisiana, August 11 to 27, 2016A slow moving low pressure system brought widespread showers and thunderstorms to the area. The system tapped into deep tropical moisture resulting in very intense rainfall across a large portion of the area.

- Heat in Louisiana, June 1 to 30, 1998June 1998 suffered prolonged and excessively high temperatures throughout the month making it the 3rd hottest on record. The average monthly temperature was 84.9 degrees Fahrenheit (F) which was 5.5 degrees above normal. This was beat only by 85.8 degrees F.
- Tornado in Louisiana, April 3, 1999Supercells developed over the area as a speed max moved out of Texas and across the region. Some 389 structures were effected. Of this 227 homes or businesses suffered either major damage or were destroyed. Roofs missing. Brick homes leveled.
- Dense Fog in Louisiana, October 23, 2023Typical radiation fog forms when the surface quickly cools at night to become nearly saturated and can become dense when conditions trap more moisture near the surface, usually in the presence of high pressure as what was observed on 10/23.
- Heavy Snow in Louisiana, January 21, 2025A historically significant snowfall event impacted southeast Louisiana beginning in the early morning hours of January 21st.
- Cold in Louisiana, January 24 to 27, 2026A strong surge of Arctic air invaded Northern Louisiana during late January with bitterly cold temperatures and light northerly winds.
- Hurricane and Tornadoes in Louisiana, September 1 to 3, 2008Hurricane Gustav caused wind damage, flash flooding, and several tornadoes across southwest Louisiana. Hustav made landfall in Terrebonne Parish in the morning of September 2nd as a category 2 hurricane with sustained winds of 110 mph.
- Heat in Louisiana, July 1 to 31, 1998July started off where June ended. Another month for the record book concerning the excessive heat wave of 1998. The average temperature was 88.5 degrees or the warmest July on record and the warmest month on record for any year.

- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Louisiana, February 12 to 17, 2021The first in a series of Arctic Cold Fronts arrived during the 12th pushing tide levels down along the coast, however the subfreezing temperatures and winter weather did not arrive until the 14th.
- Hurricane and Tropical Storm in Louisiana, October 9 to 10, 2020A tropical wave moved into the Caribbean in early October and became a tropical depression by the 5th. The system quickly gained strength and obtained category 4 status before shear weakened it back to a category 2.
