- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Louisiana, February 12 to 17, 2021The first in a series of Arctic Cold Fronts arrived during the 12th pushing tide levels down along the coast, however the subfreezing temperatures and winter weather did not arrive until the 14th.
- Extreme Cold and Heavy Snow in Louisiana, January 16 to 17, 2018A strong arctic cold front moved through southern Mississippi and southeast Louisiana during the afternoon hours of the 16th. The cold air behind the front changed the precipitation from rain to freezing rain and snow across portions of the area to the north of Interstate 10.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Louisiana, January 23 to 24, 2014A cold air mass plunged south to the gulf coast while an upper level disturbance moved across the region. Rain, snow, and sleet moved into the region during the late afternoon of the 23rd and gradually turned to all snow across Central Louisiana.

At the surface, temperatures were generally above freezing, but dewpoints were well below freezing.

- Ice Storm and Winter Weather in Louisiana, January 9, 2011Strong and cold high pressure had settled over northeast Louisiana by January 8th, 2011 bringing cold temperatures to the region.
- Winter Weather in Louisiana, January 15 to 16, 2024A very amplified longwave upper level trough situated west of the Mississippi River Valley drove an arctic airmass well into the Gulf of Mexico. It's position, west of the Mississippi River, is common for previous events of very cold airmasses and frozen precipitation locally.

- Ice Storm and Hail in Louisiana, February 11 to 12, 2014A pair of upper level disturbances traveled across the region while a shallow cold air mass was in place. This produced thunderstorms across South Louisiana and freezing rain in Central Louisiana.
- Winter Weather and Astronomical Low Tide in Louisiana, January 12 to 17, 2018An arctic front pushed through the region during the evening of the 15th and temperatures fell into the 16th. Overrunning rain eventually changed into freezing rain then snow.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Louisiana, December 7 to 8, 2017Low Pressure over the Gulf of Mexico drove moisture over a very cold airmass to aid in the development of a band of heavy snow across portions of southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi. Numerous reports of 2 to 5 inches of snow was reported.

- Sleet and Winter Weather in Louisiana, January 28, 2014A bitterly cold airmass descended on southern Mississippi and southeast Louisiana during the night of the 26th and during the day on the 27th. A strong upper level jet disturbance moved across the area on the 28th, producing a large area of sleet and freezing rain.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Louisiana, March 4 to 5, 2015A cold, arctic airmass entered the region from the northwest during the late afternoon and early evening hours of Wednesday, March 4th.
- Winter Weather in Louisiana, December 8, 2017Colder air plunged to the gulf coast while an upper level disturbance provided support for precipitation. Precipitation began to change to snow across the region past midnight and accumulate. Snow lingered through much of the morning.
- Winter Weather in Louisiana, February 8 to 9, 2019An arctic cold front progressed southeast across the Ark-La-Tex during the daytime hours on February 7th, with temperatures falling from the 70s on the 7th, into the 20s and lower 30s by the morning of February 8th.
- Winter Weather in Louisiana, February 14, 2021Another round of winter precipitation moved across the region on February 14th. A cold airmass was settling into the region and precipitation fell from the morning through the afternoon. As this precipitation fell, it encountered the cold airmass, with only minor melting.
- Winter Weather in Louisiana, January 15, 2013A strong cold front moved through Northwest Louisiana during the evening hours of January 13th and the predawn hours of January 14th. Rain and a few storms accompanied the passage of this cold front across the northern half of the state.
- Ice Storm and Winter Weather in Louisiana, March 4, 2014A cold air mass crept back into South and Central Louisiana during the first few days of March. An upper level disturbance moved across the region during the morning of the 4th producing yet another round of freezing rain for the region.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Louisiana, December 4, 2009A powerful and deep upper level trough of low pressure moved quickly across Texas and Louisiana on Friday, December 4, 2009. At the same time, a strong area of surface low pressure developed in the western Gulf of Mexico.
- Winter Weather in Louisiana, January 23 to 24, 2014A cold front moved through southern Mississippi and southeast Louisiana on January 23, bringing sub-freezing temperatures to much of the area. An upper level low pressure moved through this cold air during the night of the 23rd and morning of the 24th.
