- Hurricane and Tornadoes in Louisiana, August 28 to 31, 2021The ninth named storm, fourth hurricane, and second major hurricane of the 2021 Atlantic hurricane season, Ida originated from a tropical wave in the Caribbean Sea on August 23rd.
- Tornado and Flash Flooding in Louisiana, August 11 to 27, 2016A slow moving low pressure system brought widespread showers and thunderstorms to the area. The system tapped into deep tropical moisture resulting in very intense rainfall across a large portion of the area.
- Hurricane and Tornadoes in Louisiana, September 1 to 3, 2008Hurricane Gustav caused wind damage, flash flooding, and several tornadoes across southwest Louisiana. Hustav made landfall in Terrebonne Parish in the morning of September 2nd as a category 2 hurricane with sustained winds of 110 mph.
- Flash Flooding and Hail in Louisiana, March 8 to 12, 2016A strong upper level low pressure system settled over northern Mexico on March 8th, and became stationary through March 12th as it was cut off from the upper level jet stream, with a blocking upper ridge having developed over Florida and the western Atlantic.
- Hurricane and Storm Surge in Louisiana, August 28 to 31, 2012Isaac entered the Gulf of Mexico as a tropical storm on August 26, moving northwest after crossing Haiti, Cuba and the Florida Straits. Isaac strengthened into a hurricane on the morning of the 28th when it was 75 miles south-southeast of the mouth of the Mississippi River.
- Tornadoes and Flash Flood in Louisiana, March 22, 2022An upper level system moved into north-central Texas on March 22nd. Thunderstorms began developing in the unstable warm sector ahead of a cold front moving east into east Texas and western LA.

An area of low pressure moved from the Texas Hill Country into Northeast Texas during the afternoon.

- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Louisiana, May 2 to 3, 2009A very unstable airmass developed across the four state region during the afternoon hours of May 2nd. A weak cold front had moved southward during the morning hours into southeast Oklahoma and southwest Arkansas and had stalled.
- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Louisiana, April 9 to 10, 2024A strong upper low moved across the region and interacted with a frontal boundary that was moving south across the area. Flooding, high wind gusts, hail, and tornadoes occurred in Louisiana as a result of this system.

Very high moisture content and slow moving bands of rain generated efficient rain producing storms that left rainfall totals at some locations over 20 inches.
