- Extreme Cold and Heavy Snow in Louisiana, January 16 to 17, 2018A strong arctic cold front moved through southern Mississippi and southeast Louisiana during the afternoon hours of the 16th. The cold air behind the front changed the precipitation from rain to freezing rain and snow across portions of the area to the north of Interstate 10.
- Extreme Cold in Louisiana, January 22, 2025An Arctic airmass infiltrated the region on January 21st, resulting in widespread snowfall accumulations ranging from several inches to nearly one foot across Southeast Louisiana, southwestern Mississippi, and coastal Mississippi.
- Extreme Cold and Astronomical Low Tide in Louisiana, January 5 to 7, 2014A strong cold front swept through during the 5th with strong north winds behind the boundary pushing tides below normal and hindering ship traffic. Very cold temperatures also swept into South Louisiana behind the boundary. Two people were reported dead from exposure.

- Excessive Heat and Extreme Cold in Louisiana, July 21, 2022A strengthening upper level ridge spanning much of the Southern U.S. in mid July led to excessively hot temperatures across all of the Four State Region on July 21st.
