The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Tornado Watch for portions of 
  Southeastern Louisiana
  Southern Mississippi
  Coastal Waters

* Effective this Wednesday afternoon and evening from 155 PM
  until 1000 PM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely

SUMMARY...A pre-frontal squall line will continue eastward across
southern Louisiana and Mississippi through the afternoon and
evening.  Additional warm sector supercell development is also
expected through the afternoon.  The strongest storms will be
capable of producing a couple of strong tornadoes and damaging
winds.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 100 statute miles
east and west of a line from 30 miles northeast of Mc Comb MS to 45
miles west southwest of Boothville LA. For a complete depiction of

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.
