The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Connecticut
  Massachusetts
  Northern New Jersey
  Southern New York
  Northeastern Pennsylvania
  Northern Rhode Island
  Coastal Waters

* Effective this Wednesday afternoon and evening from 320 PM
  until 1000 PM EDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
  Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible

SUMMARY...Scattered thunderstorm clusters are expected to develop
and move into northeastern Pennsylvania, southern New York, and
Massachusetts through the remainder of the afternoon/evening, with
an attendant threat for damaging winds and isolated large hail. 
More isolated strong-to-severe storms will also be possible in the
corridor from northern New Jersey into Connecticut.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 45
statute miles north and south of a line from 60 miles west of
Wilkesbarre PA to 15 miles southeast of Boston MA. For a complete

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
