The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Eastern New Mexico
  Northwest Texas

* Effective this Saturday afternoon and evening from 500 PM until
  1100 PM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
    inches in diameter possible
  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

SUMMARY...Multiple storms including a few clusters will develop
east-southeastward from eastern New Mexico toward parts of the Texas
Panhandle and Texas South Plains. Large hail and severe-caliber wind
gusts are the primary hazards.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 75
statute miles east and west of a line from 40 miles northwest of
Amarillo TX to 45 miles east of Roswell NM. For a complete depiction

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
