* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  COMAL COUNTY
  KENDALL COUNTY
  BLANCO COUNTY
  HAYS COUNTY

* UNTIL 11 PM CST

* AT 712 PM CST...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN
  AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS...SOME WITH LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL...
  MOVING ACROSS KENDALL AND COMAL COUNTIES TOWARD HAYS AND BLANCO
  COUNTIES.  MORE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED THE REST OF THE EVENING.

SINCE THE GROUND IS ALREADY SATURATED FROM PREVIOUS HEAVY RAINS...
ANY ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL NOT SOAK IN BUT RUN OFF RAPIDLY INTO
ALREADY SWOLLEN OR FLOODED CREEKS...RIVERS AND LOW-WATER CROSSINGS...
OR POND IN LOW-LYING FLAT AREAS...STREETS AND ROADS...GREATLY ADDING
TO THE THREAT FOR FLOODING.  A RAINFALL OBSERVER JUST NORTHEAST OF
KENDALIA REPORTED TWO AND A HALF INCHES OF RAIN BETWEEN 530 PM AND 7
PM CST.  ADDITIONAL TOTALS NEAR 2 INCHES OR MORE COULD OCCUR TONIGHT.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR OTHER LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY. NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT. TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
CAMP/ERS SHOULD AVOID CAMPING ALONG STREAMS OR CREEKS DURING THREATENING
RAINS.
