THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 515 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF MISSOURI
      LACLEDE...NEWTON...DALLAS...SOUTHERN POLK...GREENE

AT 410 PM CDT A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FROM 65 MILES
NORTHEAST OF SPRINGFIELD TO 15 MILES SOUTH OF JOPLIN NEAR NEOSHO
MISSOURI.

LINE WAS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST 25 TO 30 MILES AN HOUR.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...
DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.  MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM
ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS.

A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  SEVERE

A LINE OF VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS 20 MILES WIDE EXTENDED FROM 30
MILES NORTH OF NEVADA MISSOURI TO NEAR BARTLESVILLE OKLAHOMA.

TORNADO WATCH 244 IS IN EFFECT FOR THIS AREA UNTIL 8PM. THIS LINE
OF STORMS IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE IN INTENSITY AS IT MOVES INTO
SOUTHWEST MISSOURI WITH A RISK OF TORNADOES...LARGE HAIL AND STRONG
GUSTY WINDS. THE LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT 15
TO 20 MPH.
