THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 330 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF MISSOURI
      CEDAR...CHRISTIAN...TANEY

AT 225 AM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 60 MILES
NORTHWEST OF SPRINGFIELD AND 30 MILES SOUTH OF SPRINGFIELD.
A CLUSTER OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WAS OVER JOPLIN TO 20
MILES SOUTH OF JOPLIN. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST
AT 30 TO 40 MILES PER HOUR.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM...PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WINDS...L>ARGE HAIL
AND DEADLY LIGHTNING.

A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE
OR NO WARNING.

...A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHWEST MISSOURI UNTIL 300 AM
CDT...

AT 1210 AM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ABOUT 50 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF JOPLIN MISSOURI.

THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING TO THE EAST NORTHEAST AT 30 TO 40 MILES
PER HOUR. THE STORM WILL MOVE INTO WESTERN NEWTON AND MCDONALD COUNTIES
BETWEEN 1230 AND 1245 CAM CDT. THE CITIES OF PINEVILLE AND NEOSHO ARE
IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM.

THIS IS A STRONG THUNDERSTORM AND HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING SEVERE
WEATHER.
