THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 130 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF MISSOURI
      BARRY...MCDONALD

AT 1225 AM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 40 MILES
SOUTH OF JOPLIN NEAR SOUTH WEST CITY. THIS STORM WAS MOVING TO
THE EAST AT 40 MILES PER HOUR. THIS THUNDERSTORM WILL MOVE
ACROSS THE CITY OF PINEVILLE.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...
DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.  MOVE TO AN INTUERIOR ROOM
ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS.

A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE
OR NO WARNING.

...A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHWEST MISSOURI UNTIL 300 AM
CDT...

AT 1210 AM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ABOUT 50 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF JOPLIN MISSOURI.

THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING TO THE EAST NORTHEAST AT 30 TO 40 MILES
PER HOUR. THE STORM WILL MOVE INTO WESTERN NEWTON AND MCDONALD COUNTIES
BETWEEN 1230 AND 1245 CAM CDT. THE CITIES OF PINEVILLE AND NEOSHO ARE
IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM.

THIS IS A STRONG THUNDERSTORM AND HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING SEVERE
WEATHER.
