- Heat in Pennsylvania, July 4 to 6, 1999A very strong and oppressive high pressure system that extended from the surface to aloft gave Eastern Pennsylvania a brutal heat wave that included the entire Independence Day weekend. There were 74 heat related deaths and over 100 reported heat related injuries.
- Tornadoes and Hail in Pennsylvania, May 31, 1985
- Excessive Heat in Pennsylvania, July 21 to 24, 2011One of the most oppressive heat waves since mid July 1995 enveloped Eastern Pennsylvania from July 21st through the 24th. The heat was responsible for twenty-five deaths, twenty-two within Philadelphia and dozens of heat related injuries.
- Heat in Pennsylvania, July 12 to 18, 1997The longest and hottest heat wave of the summer of 1997 brought around 6 consecutive days of high temperatures of 90 degrees or higher to Eastern Pennsylvania. Along with the oppressive heat came high humidity levels and limited rainfall.
- Heat in Pennsylvania, August 1 to 3, 2006A strong area of high pressure anchored over the East Coast and the western Atlantic, resulted in a stretch of excessive heat for the entire region to start off August 2006.
- Heat in Pennsylvania, August 6 to 10, 2001A ridge of high pressure both surface and aloft that was broiling the central part of the country moved east and covered Eastern Pennsylvania during the work week of August 6th. This brought a very oppressive hot spell to the region and peaked on the 9th.
- Excessive Heat in Pennsylvania, June 7 to 10, 2008The most oppressive heat wave of the meteorological summer affected Eastern Pennsylvania from June 7th through the 10th. There were about twenty heat related deaths, eighteen within Philadelphia. There were also a couple of drownings within rivers.
- Heat in Pennsylvania, July 1 to 4, 2002July started with unseasonably hot and humid weather across Eastern Pennsylvania. The hottest and most humid weather occurred on Independence Day before a cold front quietly moved through the region during the night of the 4th.
- Flooding and Coastal Flood in Pennsylvania, October 29 to 30, 2012Post Tropical Storm Sandy caused an initial estimate of $20 million dollars in damage in Pennsylvania and directly or indirectly caused 15 deaths across the state. Most of the damage in the eastern part of the state was wind related as wind gusts reached as high as 81 mph.
- Heat in Pennsylvania, July 20 to 23, 1998A heat wave affected Southeast Pennsylvania from July 20th through the 23rd. Eleven persons died (Eight in Philadelphia and three in Montgomery County.) from the heat. They were usually discovered in homes with closed windows and inadequate ventilation.
- Flash Flooding and Flooding in Pennsylvania, September 7 to 11, 2011Heavy rainfall from the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee produced widespread flooding, flash flooding and river flooding mainly near and to the east of the Susquehanna Valley from September 4-10.
- Excessive Heat in Pennsylvania, July 5 to 7, 2010The hottest weather of the summer season occurred on July 5th through the 7th throughout Eastern Pennsylvania. Except for the Poconos, many high temperatures on the 6th and 7th exceeded 100 degrees, some places even on the 5th exceeded 100 degrees.
- Heat in Pennsylvania, August 1 to 5, 2002The excessive heat that began on July 28th continued through August 5th. The combination of high temperatures in the 90s and high dew points produced heat indices of over 100 each day through the 5th. A cold frontal passage late in the day on the 5th ended the excessive heat.
- Heat in Pennsylvania, August 11 to 20, 2002The longest run of days with high temperatures of 90 or greater this summer occurred across Eastern Pennsylvania from the 11th through the 20th. This was the longest heat wave for the state since the twelve day heat wave during the summer of 1999.
- Winter Storm and Heavy Snow in Pennsylvania, October 29, 2011An unprecedented winter storm for late October not only dropped heavy snow across most of Eastern Pennsylvania, but caused widespread power outages and road closures as many deciduous trees still had foliage.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Pennsylvania, July 4 to 7, 2012Both excessive heat and more humidity returned to most of Eastern Pennsylvania starting on Independence Day and lasted until the 7th. The excessive heat claimed the lives of eight people, five within Philadelphia and three in Lehigh County.

- Blizzard in Pennsylvania, January 7 to 8, 1996The Blizzard of '96, the second coined "STORM OF THE CENTURY" of this decade brought record breaking snow to most of Southeast Pennsylvania and paralyzed the region for several days, caused most municipalities to exceed their annual snow budgets during this one storm, caused…
- Heat in Pennsylvania, May 6 to 9, 2000The first run of hot weather, with high temperatures that reached between 90 ands 95 degrees for up to four days across southeast Pennsylvania caused seven heat related deaths.
- Heat in Pennsylvania, July 25 to 27, 2005The most hottest and humid air mass of the summer so far occupied Eastern Pennsylvania from the 25th through the 27th.
- Excessive Heat in Pennsylvania, July 16 to 22, 2008The longest heat wave of the summer affected eastern Pennsylvania from July 16th through the 22nd. The heat wave ended on the 22nd as thunderstorms kept temperatures below 90 degrees on the 23rd. a cold front overnight then brought in drier air.
- Flash Flooding in Pennsylvania, July 15, 2023Thunderstorms brought locally heavy rain to parts of eastern Pennsylvania from the late afternoon into the evening of July 15. Rainfall totals were as high as 3 to 6 inches.
- Flash Flooding and Coastal Flood in Pennsylvania, September 16 to 17, 1999Hurricane Floyd battered Eastern Pennsylvania (especially Southeast sections around Philadelphia) on September 16th and brought with it torrential and in some places record breaking rains and damaging winds.
- Winter Weather in Pennsylvania, January 6, 2004An arctic cold front crossed central Pennsylvania during the mid morning hours of Tuesday, January 6th, accompanied by a narrow band of intense snow squalls. These squalls caused the visibility to drop to near zero, and caused roadways to quickly become snow covered and icy.
- Flash Flood in Pennsylvania, January 19, 1996Six people died in Lycoming County along Lycoming Creek on Friday the 19th. A husband and wife age 77 and 75 were swept away when they tried to drive away from their home in rural Trout Run early in the afternoon.
