  Arkansas River At Dardanelle 1 NE affecting Yell and Pope 
  Counties.

  Arkansas River At Morrilton affecting Perry and Conway Counties.

  Arkansas River At Toad Suck Lock And Dam Tailwater affecting 
  Faulkner and Perry Counties.

  Arkansas River At Pine Bluff affecting Lincoln and Jefferson 
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

* At 9:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 21.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late 
  this evening to a crest of 35.0 feet Friday morning. It will then 
  fall below flood stage early Saturday morning.
* Impact...At 32.0 feet, Minor flooding, commercial and industrial 
  areas along the river in Dardanelle and Russellville may be 
  affected. Lower lying agricultural land within the levee starts to 
  flood.
* Impact...At 34.0 feet, Approximately 2000 acres of farmland 
  flooded. Galla Creek Wildlife Management area partially flooded 
  and State Highway 105 along the river may be affected.
* Impact...At 35.0 feet, State Highway 155 in Yell County and County 
  Roads inside the levee flooded. About 5000 acres of farmland 
  flooded.

  Friday morning to a crest of 33.8 feet Friday evening. It will 
  then fall below flood stage Sunday morning.
* Impact...At 30.0 feet, Commercial and industrial establishments 
  downstream of the State Highway 9 Bridge are effected.
* Impact...At 32.0 feet, Extensive agricultural acreage downstream 
  of Morrilton along the right bank and north of Ormond Lock and 
  Dam. Remove equipment in the floodplain.
* Impact...At 34.0 feet, Backwaters up Point Remove Creek will flood 
  acres of cropland.

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late 
  Friday morning to a crest of 277.9 feet by Saturday morning. It 
  will then fall below flood stage early Sunday afternoon.
* Impact...At 275.0 feet, Mobile homes in the Toad Suck Community on 
  the right descending bank near the State Highway 60 Bridge are 
  threatened.
* Impact...At 277.0 feet, Additional residences in Toad Suck 
  Community are affected along the right descending bank near State 
  Highway 60 Bridge. Extensive farmlands along the river in Perry, 
  Conway, and Faulkner counties inundated.
* Impact...At 278.0 feet, Lollie Community affected. Additional 
  farmlands in Faulkner County flooded by backwater up Palarm Creek 
  and Tupelo Bayou.

* From Saturday evening to Tuesday evening.
* At 9:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 31.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 42.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage 
  Saturday evening to a crest of 43.8 feet by early Sunday 
  afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Monday 
  afternoon.
* Impact...At 37.0 feet, Water starts to get over Swan Lake 
  Recreation Road and portions of Little Bayou Meto area south of 
  Reydell are impacted.
* Impact...At 40.0 feet, Water over the road to Island Harbour 
  Estates. Flooding of cropland inside the levees. Residents of the 
  Island Harbour area should monitor the river for any additional 
  rises and take whatever steps necessary to protect their property. 
  Some trails at the AGFC Delta Rivers Nature Center are covered by 
  water and must be partially closed.
* Impact...At 41.0 feet, Minor flooding of property in the Riverside 
  Addition west of Lake Langhofer. Water starts to get over Acorn 
  Road.
* Impact...At 42.0 feet, Regional Park flooded with the gate at 
  Regional Park Road closed. This will prevent access to the AGFC 
  Delta Rivers Nature Center and Harbor Oaks public golf course. 
  Some damage in the lowlands inside the levees in Pine Bluff. Water 
  over Knotts Island Road.
* Impact...At 43.0 feet, Island Harbour Estates Road is impassible, 
  access by boat only to Island Harbour homes. Knotts Island Road 
  impassible and residents should monitor the river for any 
  additional rises.
* Impact...At 44.0 feet, Trulock Bay Residential Addition upstream 
  of U.S. Highway 79 Business Bridge is affected.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Arkansas River At Morrilton.
* Until Sunday evening.
* At 9:15 AM CDT Friday the stage was 32.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will rise to 32.8 feet Friday evening. It 
  will then fall below flood stage Saturday afternoon to 22.4 feet, 
  then become more steady with a slight rise early Monday morning to 
  22.5 feet. It will then fall again and remain below flood stage.
* Impact...At 32.0 feet, Extensive agricultural acreage downstream 
  of Morrilton along the right bank and north of Ormond Lock and 
  Dam. Remove equipment in the floodplain.

* Until Saturday afternoon.
* At 9:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 32.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late 
  Friday morning and continue falling to 17.9 feet Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 32.0 feet, Minor flooding, commercial and industrial 
  areas along the river in Dardanelle and Russellville may be 
  affected. Lower lying agricultural land within the levee starts to 
  flood.

  the Arkansas River At Toad Suck Lock And Dam Tailwater.
* From late tonight to Sunday afternoon.
* At 9:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 273.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 275.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to flood stage just after 
  midnight Friday night to a crest of 275.0 feet. It will then fall 
  below flood stage late Saturday morning.
* Impact...At 275.0 feet, Mobile homes in the Toad Suck Community on 
  the right descending bank near the State Highway 60 Bridge are 
  threatened.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Arkansas River At Pine Bluff.
* From Saturday afternoon to late Monday night.
* At 10:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 35.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 42.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage 
  Saturday afternoon and continue to rise to a crest of 43.3 feet 
  Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday evening.
* Impact...At 37.0 feet, Water starts to get over Swan Lake 
  Recreation Road and portions of Little Bayou Meto area south of 
  Reydell are impacted.
* Impact...At 43.0 feet, Island Harbour Estates Road is impassible, 
  access by boat only to Island Harbour homes. Knotts Island Road 
  impassible and residents should monitor the river for any 
  additional rises.

.AVIATION...
The slow moving cold front has entered northwest Arkansas and will
continue to move through the state today. Rain chances will be
highest in central and south sections. Heavy rain can be expected
at times. Low clouds and decreased visbuility will lead to MVFR
or IFR conditions at times. Rain will end in most locations this
evening but not til 06Z in the southeast.

SHORT TERM...Today Through Friday Night
This upper ridge will be suppressed to the southeast by an
approaching upper moving through the Midwest. The southwest upper
low will become cutoff from the main flow and blocked by the upper
ridge in the Gulf of Mexico, keeping it over west Texas through
Friday.

A slow moving cold front will continue to bring showers and
thunderstorms across the area today. The main threat now is heavy
rain. North, west and southwest sections will have the highest
threat of flash flooding. Another large area of rain will move
across central and south Arkansas during the day. A Flash Flood
Watch continues for parts of the area. Another inch of rain is
expected in the southwest. There is a Marginal Risk for severe
thunderstorms across the southeast half of the area today along and
ahead of the front.

High pressure will build over the state tonight and Friday. Rain
chances will end in the south Friday morning. Surface high pressure
will be northeast of Arkansas by late Friday.

Highs today will be in the mid 70s to lower 80s and in the mid to
upper 70s Friday. Lows tonight will be in the lower 50s to lower
60s and then lower to mid 50s Friday night.

LONG TERM...Saturday Through Wednesday

Rain chances will return to the forecast gradually from Saturday
into Sunday as an H500 closed low approaches the state from the
southwest. As it moves over the area it will transition into an open
wave.

There will be little reprieve in the form of dry weather as yet
another shortwave trough is expected to traverse the SW flow aloft
and move toward the state by early next week. Another period of rain
and thunderstorms is expected.

Temperatures through the period are largely expected to remain above
normal values with persistent srly flow. There may be some portions
of the state that see below average temps at times if widespread
precip occurs.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Showers and thunderstorms will continue moving across the area
today. An additional inch of rain is expected in central and
south sections. In areas that have had an abundance of rain
overnight, flash flooding will be possible. A few severe
thunderstorms will be possible in the southeast half of the area
with large hail and damaging winds the main threats.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday Through Wednesday

Thunderstorms will be in the forecast this weekend through the
middle of next week. While severe weather chances don't appear very
high at this time, locally heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding
concerns.
