The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Carroll County in north central Mississippi...
  Grenada County in north central Mississippi...
  Leflore County in north central Mississippi...

* Until 530 AM CDT.

* At 235 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Following previous rounds of 
  heavy rainfall in the area, an additional 1 to 2 inches of rain 
  have fallen over the last few hours. Flash flooding is ongoing or 
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Greenwood, Grenada, Itta Bena, Black Hawk, Leflore, Jefferson, 
  Sidon, North Carrollton, Teoc, Malmaison, Avalon, Holcomb, Money, 
  Coila, Seven Pines, Bew Springs, Sunnyside, Elliott, Quito and 
  Minter City.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the 
warned area through 530 AM CDT.

MORNING FOR CARROLL, GRENADA AND LEFLORE COUNTIES...

At 413 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have 
fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Doppler radar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
