THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
  KENDALL

* UNTIL 1145 PM CDT

* AT 820 PM...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS  
  WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN MOVING NORTH NEAR 15 MPH TOWARD BOERNE AND
  SISTERDALE WITH ADDITIONAL STORMS IN NORTHWEST BEXAR COUNTY MOVING
  INTO SOUTHERN KENDALL COUNTY.  

RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 3 INCHES PER HOUR WILL FALL ON SATURATED SOIL 
THAT WILL QUICKLY RUN OFF.   

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS 
IMMINENT. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT 
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR OTHER LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS 
THE ROADWAY.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH TONIGHT ALL OF SOUTH CENTRAL 
TEXAS AND THE HILL COUNTRY...

AT 1055 PM...THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL CONTINUE OVER 
NORTHWEST BEXAR COUNTY...NORTHEAST MEDINA COUNTY...SOUTHWEST KENDALL
COUNTY AND NORTHWEST AND WEST FRIO COUNTY. RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 3 
INCHES PER HOUR ARE OCCURRING.

THE TROPICAL AIRMASS OVER SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS IS PROVIDING THE 
MOISTURE NEEDED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THESE STORMS. ADDITIONAL 
THUNDERSTORM AND HEAVY RAIN ARE EXPECTED THROUGH THE NIGHT.  

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE ADDITIONAL FLOODING.
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
