000 TTAA00 KPIT 251922 FFWPIT PAC129-252030- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PITTSBURGH PA 322 PM EDT SUN JUN 25 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 430 PM EDT FOR THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN WEST PENNSYLVANIA ...WESTMORELAND COUNTY WEATHER RADAR SHOWED SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS. THE HEAVIEST STORMS WERE OVER WESTERN WESTMORLAND COUNTY BETWEEN DELMONT AND MURRYSVILLE. RADAR ESTIMATES AROUND 2 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER THE PAST HOUR. A SPOTTER IN JEANETTE REPORTED 1.75 INCHES IN ONE HOUR. IN ADDITION THERE WERE OTHER STORMS IN EASTERN WESTMORELAND COUNTY PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINS. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR CREEKS WHICH CAN BECOME KILLERS IN HEAVY RAINS. CAMPERS SHOULD AVOID CAMPING ALONG STREAMS D&URING THREATENING RAINS.
