THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  330 AM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
 
IN SOUTH TEXAS
 
   ...UVALDE COUNTY
 
RADAR INDICATES THAT A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN
MOVED INTO UVALDE COUNTY. THE THUNDERSTORMS ARE MOVING FROM THE SOUTH
AT AROUND 30 MILES AN HOUR AND RAINFALL ACCUMULATION OF ONE INCH OR
GREATER IS POSSIBLE.
 
THE SOIL IS SATURATED FROM RAINFALL OVER THE PAST SEVERAL DAYS AND ANY
ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL WILL PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING OF LOW WATER
CROSSINGS AND LOW LYING AREAS. MOTORISTS ESPECIALLY SHOULD EXERCISE
CAUTION AND NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS A FLOODED AREA.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING ISl OBSERVED
ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
