- Wildfire and High Wind in Nevada, November 18 to 19, 2011Strong low pressure moved through the Pacific Northwest bringing high winds to portions of western NV on the 18th. One of the most expensive and damaging fires in Reno history to date developed in southwest Reno as power lines arced in high winds.
- Wildfire and High Wind in Nevada, January 19 to 21, 2012Low pressure moved from off the Oregon and Washington coast early on the 19th to the northern Rockies early on the 20th. This brought strong winds to the Reno area on the 19th, which helped fan a large wildfire just south of Reno.
- Wildfire and Strong Wind in Nevada, July 13 to 16, 2019A longwave trough moved across the northwestern US the 13th through the 17th. This trough brought breezy conditions each afternoon to western Nevada and eastern California.

- Wildfire in Nevada, July 17 to 21, 2017The Oil Well wildfire that started in the Kittridge Canyon area on the northeast side of Elko quickly spread eastward to the Osino area by gusty winds. The fire destroyed 7 homes, 5 outbuildings, and 16 vehicles.

- Wildfire and High Wind in Nevada, June 19 to 24, 2025A strong upper level low pressure impacted the area from June 19th through the 21st which brought significant winds for late June. This was combined with very low humidity which lead to several days of fire weather concerns.
- Tornado and Wildfire in Nevada, July 22 to 31, 1998A lightning caused wild fire on Cedar Ridge, just northwest of Jiggs burned 700 acres of a federally protected wild land study area.
- Wildfire in Nevada, July 3 to 10, 2017A combination of lightning and human/unknown causes brought 5 separate wildfires to western and west-central Nevada between the 4th and 8th.
- Flash Flood and Wildfire in Nevada, July 9 to 10, 2015An unseasonable upper level low moving in from the Pacific helped trigger thunderstorms over eastern California and adjacent areas of western Nevada. Isolated severe weather and flash flooding occurred.
- Wildfire in Nevada, May 13, 1997Lightning sparked a fire on the west side of the Spring Mountain Range near Wheeler Well. The fire burned approximately 75 acres of the Toiyabe National Forest before it was contained.

- Wildfire in Nevada, July 3, 2001Nevada Highway Patrol, Washoe County Sheriff and Reno Police Department all reported several lightning sparked fires. No reports of injury or damage.
- Wildfire in Nevada, June 25, 2009A wildfire in Washoe Valley south of Reno was believed to have been caused by a lightning strike.
- Wildfire in Nevada, October 1 to 5, 2011Lightning caused wildfires burned around 205,000 acres and threatened the towns of Tuscarora and Midas. An unspecified number of cattle and horses were lost as well as a recreational vehicle.
