- Tornadoes and Hail in Michigan, August 24, 2023Severe storms developed during the evening hours in an extremely unstable environment. Two tornadoes occurred. The first tornado touched down in west central Kent County from Alpine Township to Plainfield Township and was rated an EF-1.

- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Michigan, December 1 to 2, 2007A low pressure system developed over Colorado and tracked through the Central Plains and eventually over Southeast Lower Michigan. With temperatures in the low 20s, the precipitation on the evening of the 1st began as all snow.

- Tornadoes and Flood in Michigan, June 8 to 10, 2008NWS storm survey teams determined that one EF1 tornado struck Osceola county. Another EF1 tornado struck Eaton county and continued into extreme western Ingham county before dissipating. Extensive damage was documented in association with both tornadoes.
- Tornadoes and Hail in Michigan, March 3 to 6, 2026On the afternoon of March 6th, 2026, a lone supercell developed in La Porte County, IN and tracked northeast into Lower Michigan. The supercell moved through Cass, St Joseph, Branch, and Calhoun counties.

- Rip Currents in Michigan, August 5, 2010High waves and rip currents led to the drownings of two swimmers near Presque Isle in Marquette and two swimmers in Grand Marais on the afternoon of the 5th.
- Cold in Michigan, January 1 to 7, 2018A prolonged cold spell gripped southeast Michigan January 1st to January 7th leading to the deaths of at least 4 people in the Detroit Metro Area.
- Tornadoes and Hail in Michigan, July 13, 1995Thunderstorm winds to 61 kts (70 mph) were reported at Backus, and several trees were blown down 10 miles north of Pine River.

- Flash Flooding and Damaging Winds in Michigan, June 7 to 8, 2008Severe thunderstorms produced several reports of damaging wind gusts and also caused significant flooding. In fact a presidential disaster declaration was issued for Allegan, Barry, Eaton and Ottawa counties.

- Damaging Winds in Michigan, May 21, 2004Trained spotter reported trees down in Benton Harbor. Winds were estimated near 70 MPH.
- Flood and Lake-Effect Snow in Michigan, December 29 to 31, 2017An upper disturbance moving across the region generated moderate to heavy lake enhanced snow downwind of Lake Superior in a north to northwest wind flow from the 29th into the 31st.
- Flood in Michigan, February 10 to 13, 2001The River Raisin at Dundee crested at flood stage of 650 feet at 1 am on the 13th. Further downstream, the River Raisin at Monroe rose above flood stage of 9 feet at 7 pm on the 10th.
- Lake-Effect Snow and Winter Weather in Michigan, November 24 to 27, 2014A low pressure system tracking from the Southern Plains into the Upper Great Lakes produced moderate to heavy lake effect snow over portions of west and central Upper Michigan from the 24th into the 27th.

- Cold in Michigan, January 4 to 5, 1999Arctic air invaded Michigan behind the massive snowstorm. As usual, the Great Lakes offered some protection, as air was warmed as it crossed the lakes.
- Excessive Heat in Michigan, July 17 to 22, 2011A mid July heat wave helped cap off the warmest month on record at Detroit. Three direct deaths were reported due to the heat wave, as heat indices were above 100 degrees.
