Deaths and injuries are direct and indirect together, as the offices filed them. Damage is property and crops in the dollars of the year, not adjusted for inflation, and only where an office estimated it.

NWS Hanford, CA wrote its last area forecast discussion before the first event at Jun 28, 1:05 AM PST, 7 hours 27 minutes earlier.
Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Hanford CA 205 AM PDT Sun Jun 28 2020 .SYNOPSIS...A cold front will push through the area today and bring gusty winds in wind-prone locations through this evening and much cooler temperatures today and Monday. Temperatures will rebound slightly beginning on Tuesday. && .DISCUSSION...A large upper low pressure system dropping through the PAC NW at this time will bring an abrupt end to the persistent heat that had prevailed over our area over the past several days. IR imagery is indicating a fairly strong shortwave dropping southeast across Norcal which is pushing a cold front across our area this morning and result in much cooler daytime temperatures than we have been accustomed to recently. In fact, temepratures across our area today are expected to be below seasonal averages and with a cooler airmass expected to settle into our area tonight, daytime temperatures on Tuesday are expected to be well below normal. Besides the much cooler temperatures, the change in airmass will result in a period of increased winds across the wind-prone portions of our area through this evening. A Wind Advisory remains in effect for the West Side Hills through this morning and a Wind Advisory is also in effect for the Kern County Deserts for this afternoon and evening. The winds are expected to diminish on Monday as the cooler air settles in. However, there will be enough instability for a light chance of showers over the higher elevations of the Sierra Nevada on Monday afternoon. The low will lift northward across the northern Rocky Mountain region on Tuesday leaving our area under a dry northwest flow as our area remains situated in between an offshore ridge and a negatively tilted tough over the Rockies. Temperatures will recover on on Tuesday and Wednesday and return to seasonal normals by Wednesday. The medium range models are in good general agreement with an upper trough deepening slightly off the PAC NW coast later in the week resulting in a dry southwest flow over our area for Thursday through Saturday. Temperatures across our area are expected to remain close to normal on Thursday and Friday then rise to slightly above normal levels next weekend with dry weather prevailing. && .AVIATION...Local MVFR visibility in patchy blowing dust along the West Side Hills until 18Z Sun and in the Kern County Deserts between 21Z Sun and 07Z Mon. Otherwise, VFR conditions will prevail over the central CA interior during the next 24 hours. && .AIR QUALITY ISSUES...Please see SFOAQAHNX for an Air Quality Alert && .CERTAINTY... The level of certainty for days 1 and 2 is high. The level of certainty for days 3 through 7 is medium. Certainty levels include low...medium...and high.
