What happened

The episode as NWS APX wrote it up.

A weakening and slow moving low pressure system in Wisconsin, produced southwest winds out ahead of it on Central Lake Michigan. This resulted in locally heavy, lake enhanced snow in parts of Northwest Lower Michigan. Glen Arbor picked up 6 inches of snow in just a few hours on the evening of the 29th. The Manistee area got around 10 inches of snow.
