A strong cold front crossed southeast Michigan from west to east at around midnight. Gusty winds accompanied the front, but most of the area only saw gusts to 35 or 40 mph. However, the National Weather Service office in White Lake - located on one of the highest points in southeast Michigan - measured a 57 mph wind gust.
