Red Bank Creek, between Fairmount City and New Bethlehem, went out of its banks due to ice jams. Water began to flood Route 28 and within 1 1/2 hours later, the road was closed in the New Bethlehem area.

Red Bank Creek, between Fairmount City and New Bethlehem, went out of its banks due to ice jams. Water began to flood Route 28 and within 1 1/2 hours later, the road was closed in the New Bethlehem area. Ice was reported up to the top of the guard rails at Water Street. The ice jam then broke and the ice was flushed downstream before daybreak. The water levels then receded.
