190 WWUS20 KWNS 131238 SEL2 SPC WW 131238 TXZ000-131700- URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Tornado Watch Number 412 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 740 AM CDT Sat Oct 13 2018 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Tornado Watch for portions of Central Texas * Effective this Saturday morning from 740 AM until NOON CDT. * Primary threats include... A few tornadoes likely Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible SUMMARY...A cyclic tornadic supercell, and other developing storms in its vicinity, will likely continue through the morning with a continued threat for tornadoes, as well as isolated large hail and damaging gusts. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 35 statute miles north and south of a line from 10 miles southwest of San Angelo TX to 35 miles south southeast of Brownwood TX. REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
