ANIMAS AND SOUTHERN BENT COUNTIES UNTIL 400 PM MDT...

At 317 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles northwest of Kim, or 43 miles north of Des Moines, moving east
at 10 mph.

Nickel size hail and wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with
this storm.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of western Baca...east
central Las Animas and southern Bent Counties.

Brief weak tornado/landspout possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

UNTIL 400 PM MDT...

At 328 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles northwest of La Garita, or 44 miles northwest of Alamosa,
moving south at 25 mph.

Half inch hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this
storm.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central
Saguache County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

At 544 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles east of San Luis Lake, or 18 miles northeast of Alamosa, moving
south at 20 mph.

Up to dime size hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible
with this storm.

Alamosa, Blanca, Fort Garland and Blanca Peak.
