...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1100 PM MDT FOR
SOUTHWESTERN FREMONT AND NORTHWESTERN CUSTER COUNTIES...

At 831 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Up to one inch of rain has already 
fallen across South Prong, Middle Prong and the Hayden Creek 
drainages.  Additional heavy rain is falling on the upper reaches of 
Wolf Creek. Additional thunderstorm development is occuring on the 
eastern side of the burn scar. Movement of these storms was to the 
southeast at 10 mph.  Flash flooding is expected to continue.

Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow. 
The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose 
materials.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hayden Pass Burn scar and Coaldale.

This includes the following streams and drainages...Little Cottonwood
Creek...Texas Creek...South Lake Creek...Arkansas River...Middle
Prong Hayden Creek...Big Cottonwood Creek...Hayden Pass Creek...Short
Creek...Sullivan Creek and Oak Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of
creeks, roads and normally dry arroyos is likely. The heavy rains
will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep
terrain, especially in and around these areas.

At 903 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated that the thunderstorms which 
produced heavy rain across the Hayden Pass burn scar have moved 
south of the region. Up to one inch of rain fell on the Northwest 
side of the burn scar in the South Prong, Middle Prong, Wolf Creek 
and Hayden Creek drainages. Another area of heavy rain fell on the 
southeast side of the burn scar in the Oak Creek drainage.  Flash 
flooding is expected to continue until the water has a chance to 
recede.

Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow 
moving through the South Prong, Middle Prong, Wolf Creek and Hayden 
Creek drainages as well as the Oak Creek drainage. The debris flow 
can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.

Coaldale.

This includes the following streams and drainages...South 
Prong...Middle Prong...Wolf Creek...Oak Creek and Hayden Creek.
