* At 534 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms
  producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is
  expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Beardstown, Havana, Rushville, Mason City, Virginia, Petersburg,
  Athens, Ashland, Astoria, Bluff Springs, Greenview, Vermont, San
  Jose, Chandlerville, Tallula, Arenzville, Bath, Middletown, Easton
  and Kilbourne.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded

MENARD...SOUTHWESTERN FULTON...CASS...SCHUYLER AND MASON COUNTIES...

At 722 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding in Cass 
County.  A portion of Ashland Road has been washed out south of 
Route 125 near the Sangamon County line.  Periods of light to 
moderate rain tonight will cause continued flash flooding issues. 


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

MENARD...SOUTHWESTERN FULTON...CASS...SCHUYLER AND MASON COUNTIES...

At 855 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding in 
Fulton County.  Several roads in the county were closed due to high 
water, including portions of Route 9.  Runoff will lead to a 
continued flash flood threat.

dangers of flooding.

threat for localized flooding overnight.
