The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Scott County in west central Illinois...
Morgan County in west central Illinois...
* Until 1045 PM CDT Saturday
* At 439 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. One to two inches of rain has
has already fallen over Scott and the western half of Morgan
County. Flash flooding is expected in these areas.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Jacksonville, Winchester, Alexander, Waverly, Meredosia, Bluffs,
Franklin, Murrayville, Woodson, Chapin, Manchester, Alsey, Naples,
Exeter, Literberry, South Jacksonville, Concord, Glasgow, Lynnville
and Sinclair.
This includes Interstate 72 between mile markers 43 and 79.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 PM CDT FOR
SCOTT AND MORGAN COUNTIES...
At 553 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned
area. Flash flooding is already occurring. The heaviest rainfall
rates have ended over Scott and Morgan counties, however several
hours of moderate rain could produce another one quarter to three
quarters of an inch through mid evening. This will cause streams
and creeks to continue to rise out of their banks.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Jacksonville, Winchester, Alexander, Waverly, Meredosia, Bluffs,
Franklin, Murrayville, Woodson, Chapin, Manchester, Alsey, Naples,
Exeter, Literberry, South Jacksonville, Concord, Glasgow, Lynnville
and Sinclair.
This includes Interstate 72 between mile markers 43 and 79.

At 730 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported Route 104 near
Jacksonville was closed due to high water. Periods of light to
moderate rain this evening will cause continued flash flooding
issues.
This includes Interstate 72 between mile markers 43 and 79.
