* At 656 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain moving into the warned area. The ground is already
saturated from previous heavy rainfall. Flash flooding is expected
to begin shortly.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

LAWRENCE...RICHLAND AND CLAY COUNTIES...
At 834 PM CDT, emergency management reported flash flooding in
Flora. Several roads in town were closed due to high water. While
there will be some breaks in the rainfall, periods of moderate rain
this evening, combined with previous heavy rainfall, will cause a
continued flash flood threat. Flash flooding is already occurring.
