* Until 1115 PM CDT

* At 515 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to
  begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Springfield, Taylorville, Chatham, Pana, Auburn, Sherman,
  Rochester, Riverton, Pawnee, Moweaqua, Kincaid, Williamsville, New
  Berlin, Waverly, Divernon, Assumption, Edinburg, Morrisonville,
  Stonington and Illiopolis.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 55 between mile markers 77 and 111.
 Interstate 72 between mile markers 80 and 124.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM CDT FOR
CHRISTIAN AND SANGAMON COUNTIES...

At 627 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported 6 inches of water 
over the road in Pawnee.  While the heaviest rain has shifted east 
of the area, several hours of light to moderate rain will cause 
continued rises on creeks and streams through mid evening.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 55 between mile markers 77 and 111.
 Interstate 72 between mile markers 80 and 124.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM CDT FOR
CHRISTIAN AND SANGAMON COUNTIES...

At 850 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding in 
Christian County. Route 48 near Morrisonville had water over the 
road.  While there will be some breaks in the rainfall, periods of 
moderate rain this evening, combined with previous heavy rainfall, 
will cause a continued flash flood threat. Flash flooding is already 
occurring.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 55 between mile markers 77 and 111.
 Interstate 72 between mile markers 80 and 124.
