* AT 920 AM...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED BANDS OF 
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE HILL COUNTRY AND WESTERN AREAS 
OF SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS WITH RAINFALL RATES UP TO 2 INCHES PER 
HOUR.   A VIGOROUS UPPER AIR SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO TRIGGER 
ADDITIONAL RAINS TODAY PRODUCING A DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR FLASH 
FLOODING.  

THE RAINS WILL RUN OFF QUICKLY CAUSING FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL 
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS...UNDERPASSES AND LOW WATER  
CROSSINGS.   ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE 
BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO 
FLASH FLOODING.  BE ALERT.  STREAMS WILL RISE QUICKLY.  

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
