NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX
646 PM CST WED NOV 14 2001

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
  TRAVIS
  BLANCO

* UNTIL 900 PM CST

* AT 650 PM...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED ADDITIONAL   
HEAVY RAIN MOVING INTO BLANCO AND TRAVIS COUNTY..MOVING NORTHEAST AT 
NEAR 20 MPH.

RADAR ESTIMATED RAINFALL OF BETWEEN 3 AND 5 INCHES OVER NORTHEAST 
BLANCO AND WESTERN TRAVIS COUNTY OVER THE PAST SEVERAL HOURS.  THE 
HEAVIEST RAIN WAS CENTERED OVER PEDERNALES STATE PARK.  EXCESSIVE 
RUNOFF WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND 
COUNTRY ROADS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.  CAMPERS 
SHOULD AVOID CAMPING ALONG STREAMS OR CREEKS DURING THREATENING 
RAINS.
