THE MIDLAND-ODESSA NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHERN DAWSON COUNTY IN TEXAS
  MARTIN COUNTY IN TEXAS

* UNTIL 1100 PM CDT

* AT 855 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR AND STORM SPOTTERS
  INDICATE VERY HEAVY RAINS OVER MARTIN AND SOUTHERN DAWSON COUNTIES.
  RADAR SHOWS THAT BETWEEN 3 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER THESE
  AREAS SINCE 700 PM...AND SPOTTERS REPORT THAT FM 829 FROM PATRICIA
  TO GRADY IS NEARLY IMPASSABLE DUE TO HIGH WATER.

THE GROUND IN THIS AREA IS ALREADY SATURATED FROM PREVIOUS RAINS.
THIS ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL ONLY MAKE MATTERS WORSE.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WADTERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

PARTS OF THE CENTRAL PERMIAN BASIN...INCLUDING KMAF. GENERAL
ATMOSPHERIC DYNAMICS AND WINDS ARE LIGHT...THUS MUCH OF THIS ACTIVITY
IS BEING CAUSED BY NUMEROUS OUTFLOW BOUNDARIES FROM PREVIOUS
CONVECTION. THE LATEST IR SATELLITE ANIMATION SHOWS A RATHER
IMPRESSIVE SIGNATURE OF THE ON-GOING STORMS OVER ANDREWS...MIDLAND
AND ODESSA. OUR MAIN CONCERN FROM THIS ACTIVITY IS THE VERY HEAVY
RAINS THOSE STORMS ARE PRODUCING...AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING. WE HOPE
NOT FOR A REPEAT OF ANOTHER DIRECT CG HERE.

FOR THE ON-GOING ZONES...MAY DROP POP NUMBERS FOR OUR SOUTH AND WEST
ZONES...INCLUDING SE NEW MEXICO...AS THE PRECIP COVERAGE THERE HAS
