000 TTAA00 KTOP 080746 RRA SVRTOP KSC003-080815- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TOPEKA KS 244 AM CDT THU JUN 8 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TOPEKA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 315 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS ...ANDERSON COUNTY AT 240 AM...DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS LOCATED ABOUT 25 MILES SOUTH OF OTTAWA...OR NEAR GARNETT. THIS LINE OF SEVERE STORMS WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. SOME OF THE TOWNS IN THE PATH OF THE LINE OF SEVERE STORMS ARE GARNETT... SCIPIO...GREELEY...BUSH CITY...LONE ELM...AND SELMA. GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL WAS REPORTED IN GARNETT AT 235 AM. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM...AND IN ADDITION TO LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS THE STORMS WILL PRODUCE EXTREMELY HEAVY RAINFALL IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME.
