THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TOPEKA HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  200 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS
 
   ...CLAY COUNTY
 
AT 112 AM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WITH A
POSSIBLE TORNADO LOCATED ABOUT 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF CLAY CENTER NEAR
THE TOWN OF LONGFORD.
 
THIS TORNADIC STORM WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH...AND THE
TONWS OF OAK HILL...LONGFORD...LADYSMITH...IDANA...AND CLAY CENTER ARE
IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM.  A POSSIBLE TORNADO WAS REPORTED EARLIER WITH
THIS STORM.
 
THIS WARNING REPLACES THE TORNADO WARNING FOR OTTAWA COUNTY THAT WAS IN
EFFECT UNTIL 115 AM.
 
THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS STORM.  ACT QUICKLY.  IF YOU ARE IN THE
PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF AVAILABLE.
OTHERWISE..\. GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR
POSSIBLE.  AVOID WINDOWS.  ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES FOR A
STURDIER BUILDING OR GET INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT.
