THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TOPEKA HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  145 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN CENTRAL KANSAS
 
   ...DICKINSON COUNTY
 
AT 1255 AM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
LOCATED ABOUT 10 MILES SOUTHWEST OF ABILENE...OR AROUND THE TOWN OF
HOLLAND.
 
THIS LINE OF SEVERE STORMS WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH...AND
ABILENE IS IN THE DIRECT PATH OF THIS STORM.  LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING
WINDS ARE LIKELY WITH THIS LINE OF SEVERE STORMS.  PEOPLE IN THE WARNED
AREA SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IN A STURDY BUILDING AT ONCE!
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES
