FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 100 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...BURNET COUNTY
 
AT 1045 PM CDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED OVER SOUTHERN
BURNET COUNTY BETWEEN BURNET AND MARBLE FALLS.  THIS STORM WAS
MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 15 MILES PER HOUR.  IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF
THIS STORM TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY.
 
HEAVY RAINS ARE INDICATED ON NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR
ACROSS MUCH OF BURNET COUNTY AT THIS TIME. ESTIMATES OF 2 TO 4 INCHES
ARE INDICATED ACROSS MUCH OF BURNET COUNTY IN THE PAST THREE HOURS WITH
LOW WATER CROSSINGS AND LOW LYING AREAS FLOODED AT THIS TIME.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED
ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
 
AVOID ALREADY FLOODED AREAS.  TRAVELERS SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS FLOODED ROADS.  IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...LEAVE IT AND MOVE
IMMEDIATELY TO HIGHER GROUND.
