THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  500 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...MEDINA COUNTY...UVALDE COUNTY
 
DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR INDICATES THAT UP TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY
FALLEN OVER THE NORTHERN PART OF MEDINA AND UVALDE COUNTIES...INCLUDING
GARNER STATE PARK. THIS AREA OF HEAVY RAIN IS DEVELOPING SLOWLY
SOUTHWARD AS THE INDIVIDUAL STORMS CONTINUE TO MOVE SLOWLY TOWARD THE
NORTHEAST. AN ADDITIONAL 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE
COUNTY. FLASH FLOODING WILL BEGIN VERY SHORTLY.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED
ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
