- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Georgia, January 9 to 14, 2011One of the most significant winter storms to affect north and central Georgia in years, but especially north Georgia, began the evening of January 9th and continued throughout much of the following work week.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Georgia, February 11 to 13, 2014The second major winter storm in as many weeks hit north and central Georgia on February 12th. An area of extremely strong cold air damming moved down the Eastern Seaboard and into north Georgia on the 12th.
- Ice Storm in Georgia, January 22 to 23, 2000Wintry precipitation plagued the northern third of Georgia beginning Saturday and continued into Sunday. A shallow cold airmass with single-digit dewpoint temperatures was in place over north Georgia, with temperatures in the upper 20s to lower 30s over much of the area.
- Ice Storm and Winter Weather in Georgia, February 16 to 17, 2015A strong cold front pushed through the state on the 14th spreading cold and dry air across North Georgia. A surface low developed over the lower Mississippi Valley on the 15th sweeping abundant mid-level moisture over the state as it moved across the southeastern U.S.
- Ice Storm in Georgia, January 28 to 30, 2000A series of short waves in the upper air pattern produced periods of mostly light to occasionally moderate precipitation over the north half of Georgia from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon.
- Ice Storm in Georgia, January 25 to 27, 2004An extensive and formidable wedge of cold air associated with a back door cold front invaded the area during the late morning and afternoon of the 25th and moved west toward the Alabama border by the morning of the 26th.
- Ice Storm in Georgia, December 4 to 5, 2002Freezing rain began over extreme northeast Georgia around noon on the 4th, and resultant tree and power line damage began during the mid afternoon. By dawn on the 5th, 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ice had accumulated. Power outages lasted for several days in some areas.
- Ice Storm in Georgia, December 15, 2005A low pressure system moving out of the Gulf of Mexico and a strong upper-level trough pushed an area of rain across Georgia late on the 14th and early on the 15th.

- Ice Storm in Georgia, January 10, 2011On the Monday morning of January 10, 2011, freezing rain fell across portions of southern Georgia and southeast Alabama. Amounts generally ranged from a trace to a quarter of an inch, but a few areas had half an inch of total ice accumulation.
- Ice Storm in Georgia, December 4 to 5, 2002A wedge of cold air from the northeast and a strong upper-level disturbance with ample Gulf moisture combined to bring the north central, northeast, and east central portions of Georgia a minor ice storm.
- Ice Storm in Georgia, January 9, 1997Heavy rain began to freeze around midnight resulting in very damaging accumulations of ice. Serious power outages occurred and numerous roads were blocked by downed trees in both Habersham and Rabun counties. Damage likely was considerably higher than what is listed.
- Ice Storm in Georgia, January 24 to 26, 2026A complex setup characterized by moisture overrunning an entrenched wedge of cold air at the surface led to freezing rain and sleet beginning across north Georgia late on the night of January 24 and persisting through much of the day on January 25.
- Ice Storm in Georgia, January 26 to 27, 2004An ice storm developed over the CSRA late Sunday night and Monday and produced 1/4-3/4 inch of ice. The heaviest ice accumulations occurred in Lincoln, Columbia, and McDuffie counties. Many trees and powerlines were down causing scattered power outages.

- Ice Storm in Georgia, December 15, 2005Ice accretion began to cause damage across northeast Georgia just prior to sunrise. By late morning, the ice storm had become quite serious, as thousands of trees fell across the area, and power outages were widespread.
- Ice Storm in Georgia, December 23, 1998Freezing rain deposited around a quarter inch of ice across northwest Georgia. By afternoon, falling temperatures in northeast Georgia caused the precipitation to begin freezing in counties in that part of the state also.
- Ice Storm and Winter Weather in Georgia, January 25, 2013During the evening of January 24, a strong area of high pressure set up over the eastern Carolinas, ridging into north and central Georgia.
- Ice Storm and Heavy Snow in Georgia, January 29 to 30, 2010A split flow pattern was observed in the upper atmospheric pattern across the United States during this period. A large upper low was anchored across the northeast U.S. while another upper low was moving east from the south central U.S.
- Ice Storm and Winter Weather in Georgia, January 28 to 29, 2014A strong but shallow arctic cold front pushed through the region early in the day on 1/28/14. By that evening, a strong cold air damming regime prevailed as northerly surface winds pushed temperatures to around freezing across nearly all of southeast Georgia.
- Ice Storm in Georgia, January 2 to 3, 1999Freezing rain accumulated over a quarter of an inch of ice on trees, power lines, bridges, overpasses, cars. and other exposed surfaces. Many trees and limbs were downed in some areas due to the ice. Some power outages were reported due to downed power lines.

- Ice Storm in Georgia, February 16 to 17, 2015Precipitation that initially began as a mixture of rain and sleet transitioned to freezing rain as temperatures cooled to freezing and below across the Georgia Piedmont.
