Widespread Severe Drought (D2) which had expanded across almost all of Indiana's northern third on October 29, 2024 was maintained through the November 5th update, including all of Carroll County and portions of 8 other northern central Indiana zones. Locally heavy rains over both the Upper Wabash Valley through the month's first week and the upper White River Valley during November's second week promoted an overall small upgrade to Moderate Drought (D1) on November 12th for portions of Delaware and Madison Counties. Subsequent 2-week rainfall over 1.00 inch led to further improvements on November 26th when D2 retreated out of both far western Tippecanoe County and northern Madison County and vicinity. When November ended Severe Drought continued in all of Carroll County, most of Tippecanoe County, and mainly small portions of 5 other northern central Indiana zones.

Severe Drought intensity that had begun on October 22, 2024 across the northern tier of Carroll County, and expanded to all of Carroll County on October 29, 2024, continued into December 2024 amid below normal monthly precipitation around 1.50 to 2.25 inches.
Severe Drought intensity north and west of Frankfort, that had begun on October 29, 2024, continued into December 2024 despite only slightly below normal monthly precipitation of 2.00 to 2.50 inches over this area.
Severe Drought intensity that had begun on October 29, 2024 across the northern half of Delaware County, continued through early November 2024. One-week precipitation around 1.50 inches through November 12, 2024 downgraded most of this area to Moderate Drought. Severe Drought continued in far northwestern Delaware County, until additional 2-week precipitation around 1.25 inches made Severe Drought retreat slightly to only extreme northwestern Delaware County, where it remained into December 2024.
Severe Drought intensity had begun on October 29, 2024, over only the far northwestern and extreme southeastern corners of Howard County. Severe Drought continued in these areas into December 2024 amid below normal monthly precipitation around 2.00 inches.
Severe Drought intensity that had begun on October 29, 2024 across the northern tier of Madison County, continued for this area into early November 2024. One-week precipitation that approached 1.50 inches through November 12, 2024 over the Frankton and Alexandria communities, improved conditions to Moderate Drought. Additional 2-week precipitation over 1.00 inch led to an improvement of nearly all remaining areas of Severe Drought to Moderate Drought on November 26, 2024; excepting far northern Madison County where Severe Drought continued into December.
Severe Drought intensity had begun on October 29, 2024 across all but far southern Tippecanoe County. Severe Drought continued into December 2024, except for far western Tippecanoe County where, following 4-week precipitation of 2.00 to 3.00 inches, conditions improved to Moderate Drought on November 26, 2024.
Severe Drought intensity had begun on October 29, 2024 for most areas east of Tipton, continuing into November 2024. Conditions improved to Moderate Drought on November 26, 2024 for southeastern Tipton County, following near normal 4-week total precipitation of 3.00 to 3.50 inches for this area. Comparatively lesser monthly precipitation around 2.00 to 3.00 inches kept Severe Drought for most of northeastern Tipton County into December.
