Heavy snow moved across southeast Minnesota from the evening of January 18th into the morning of January 19th. Snowfall amounts ranged from 4 to 8 inches across much of the area. The highest reported totals were 8.0 inches in Rochester (Olmsted County) and Theilman (Wabasha County) as well as 6.5 inches in Rushford (Fillmore County) and Winona (Winona County). Many schools across the area canceled classes or had a late start on January 19th.
