A band of heavy lake effect snow pivoted through Berrien County late January 23rd into the early morning hours of January 24th. Snowfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour were common within this band. Snowfall totals ranged from around 4 inches in eastern portions of the county to between 8 and 12 inches in the west. There was a report of a foot of snow accumulation near Stevensville. Roads became snow covered and slick which led to slide-offs and accidents across the region.
