A warm front from October 13th aligned itself parallel to and just south of the Kansas/Nebraska border, and became nearly stationary from the afternoon of the 13th through the afternoon of the 14th. Widespread convection developed in the vicinty of the bounday during the early morning hours of the 14th, as a strong low level jet once again developed, and helped to sustain thunderstorms across the area.
