A strong storm system moved across the central Plains, bringing heavy snows to parts of south central South Dakota. Light snow began to fall during the late morning hours and increased in intensity during the afternoon.

A strong storm system moved across the central Plains, bringing heavy snows to parts of south central South Dakota. Light snow began to fall during the late morning hours and increased in intensity during the afternoon. Snow then tapered off by late evening. Snowfall amounts of 4 to 8 inches were common across the area, with the heavier accumulations across southern Todd and southern Tripp Counties.
