A strong storm system moved across the region, bringing heavy snow to higher elevations of the Black Hills. A mixture of rain and snow changed over to all snow during the morning hours at elevations above 4500 feet and continued through the afternoon.

Snowfall amounts ranged from 4 to 8 inches at elevations above 4500 feet, with 10 to 14 inches falling on the highest elevations of the Black Hills.
