Strong thunderstorms occurred during the afternoon hours across the south sections of Puerto Rico. In Cabo Rojo a small stream went out of its banks flooding road 100. A person was trapped in his car when passing the flooded road. He was later rescued unharmed. In Ponce another stream went out of its banks near Anon sector flooding adjacent areas. A landslide occurred over road 149 in Villalba.

TIME BUT HAS DECREASED SLIGHTLY FROM LAST NIGHT. NOT AS MUCH
HAZE THIS MORNING AS THE PAST THREE DAYS WHICH INDICATES MORE
MIXING AND LESS STABILITY OF THE AIR MASS. AS PREVIOUS FORECASTER
MENTIONED THERE IS THIS STRUGLLE FOR CONTROL BETWEEN THE
UPPER TROUGH OVER THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC AND HIGH PRESSURE
RIDGE TRYING TO FORCE ITS WAY WEST INTO THE CARIBBEAN ALG 14N FROM
THE ATLANTIC. AT THE SAME TIME A TROPICAL WAVE AT 65W HAS SHOWED
SIGNS OF WEAKENING LAST SIX HOURS AS PER SATELLITE LOOPS AS IT MOVES
WEST 10-15 KNOTS BELOW 18N. THE CONVECTION WITH THIS WAVE IS NOT
ORGANIZED. SO THE CURRENT FORECAST WILL NEED LITTLE CHANGE.
