DEVELOP...PRIMARILY NORTH OF INTERSTATE 10. CONVECTION INITIATING IN
VERY MOIST/UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE. SURFACE BASED CAPES RUNNING 2500 TO
3500 J/KG IN RAIN-FREE AREAS.

UPPER LOW LINGERING OVER MID MISSISSIPPI VALLEY WILL KEEP REGION
IN VERY UNSETTLED WEATHER PATTERN. SYSTEM CURRENTLY SPINNING OVER
SOUTH MISSOURI PROGGED TO DRIFT SLOWLY SOUTH...EVENTUALLY
FILLING LATE IN THE WEEKEND LEAVING OPEN WAVE ACROSS CENTRAL
CONUS.

IN THE SHORT-TERM...EXPECTING STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS TO
CONTINUE INTO THIS EVENING AS AREA REMAINS IN EXTREMELY UNSTABLE AIR
MASS WITH STEEP LAPSE RATES. DAMAGING HAIL WILL BE THE MAIN THREAT...
BUT COULD NOT RULE OUT DOWNBURST WINDS.

FOR TONIGHT...MODELS HINTING AT MCS DEVELOPMENT OVER NORTHEAST
TEXAS/SOUTH OKLAHOMA...AS 30 TO 35 KT LLJ DEVELOPS. DIFLUENT
THICKNESS PATTERN EXTENDING SOUTHEAST FROM THIS DEVELOPMENT WOULD
SLIDE CONVECTION INTO THE REGION LATE TONIGHT. WILL THEREFORE ADD
POPS TO COVER THIS POSSIBILITY. OTHERWISE WILL CONTINUE...MAINLY
